This notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform. It explains how personal data is processed when you visit www.esramisirlioglu.com (the “Site”) or use its contact form.

What the Site does not have
The Site has no membership, user accounts or login system. No personal data of that kind is collected.
Personal data processed
● Contact form: your name and surname, your email address, and any information you choose to share in your message.
● Visit data (only with your consent): the country you connect from, the pages you view, visit duration, device and browser type, and cookie identifiers. See the Cookie Policy for details.
● Technical connection data (independent of consent): when you open the Site, your IP address and the date and time of access reach the servers of the provider that hosts the Site, and may be logged by that provider under its own legal obligations (Law No. 5651). In addition, because the Site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, your IP address is transmitted to Google (see below).
Please do not include health data, case file details or other special-category or confidential information in your contact form message. It is better to discuss such matters after the first contact.
Purposes of processing
● To respond to the requests, questions and messages you send through the contact form.
● To assess your requests to discuss legal advice, mediation or diving training services.
● To ensure that the Site is displayed securely and correctly.
● To measure visitor statistics and improve the content of the Site (only if you give your consent).
Legal bases
● Contact form data: KVKK Article 5/2-c (conducting discussions aimed at establishing a service relationship at your request) and Article 5/2-f (the controller’s legitimate interest in responding to your request).
● Technical connection data and Google Fonts: KVKK Article 5/2-f (legitimate interest in operating and correctly displaying the Site).
● Data collected through analytics cookies: your explicit consent under KVKK Article 5/1. You can withdraw your consent at any time through Cookie Settings.
Recipients of personal data and transfers abroad
● Hosting and email infrastructure (USA): The Site and its email infrastructure are hosted on servers in the United States of America. When you submit the contact form, your message is sent to this server as an email and stored there. Your contact form data is therefore transferred abroad. The hosting provider acts on my behalf as a data processor. The transfer is carried out in accordance with Article 9 of KVKK.
● Google LLC (Google Analytics): If you accept cookies, analytics data is shared with Google and may be processed by Google on servers outside Türkiye, including in the USA. This transfer relies solely on your explicit consent.
● Google LLC (Google Fonts): When pages open, fonts are loaded from Google’s servers. During this process your IP address and browser information are transmitted to Google. This does not place any cookies and takes place regardless of your cookie preferences.
● Your data may be shared with competent public authorities upon their request, in accordance with applicable legislation. It is not sold to third parties or given to them for marketing purposes.
Method of collection
● Through the contact form you fill in.
● Automatically while you visit the Site (technical connection data) and, if you accept cookies, through cookies.
Retention period
● Information you send through the contact form is kept in the mailbox on the server for as long as needed to complete your request and for up to 2 years afterwards, after which it is deleted or anonymised. If a legal relationship is established, the periods required by the relevant legislation apply.
● Access logs kept by the hosting provider are retained for the periods set by the legislation the provider is subject to.
● Retention periods for analytics cookies and analytics data are stated in the Cookie Policy.
Your rights under Article 11 of KVKK
● To learn whether your personal data is being processed.
● To request information if it has been processed.
● To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose.
● To know the third parties to whom your data is transferred in Türkiye or abroad.
● To request correction if your data is incomplete or inaccurate.
● To request deletion or destruction of your data under Article 7 of KVKK.
● To request that correction, deletion and destruction be notified to the third parties to whom your data has been transferred.
● To object to a result against you that arises from the analysis of your data exclusively through automated systems.
● To claim compensation for damage you suffer because your data was processed unlawfully.
How to apply
You can send your requests regarding your rights, together with information that identifies you, by email to em@esramisirlioglu.com or in writing to the address above. Requests are answered, depending on their nature, within thirty days at the latest. If you are not satisfied with the response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu).
For visitors from the European Union
If you access the Site from a European Union country, in addition to your rights under KVKK you have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to request restriction of processing, to request data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country. The legal bases for processing are GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) for the contact form, Article 6(1)(f) for technical connection data and Google Fonts, and Article 6(1)(a) (consent) for analytics cookies. This notice may be updated in response to changes in legislation or on the Site. The current version is always published on this page.
